Marketing Assistant

SALARY: £28,000

Location: London/Hybrid

Are you looking for a new role as a marketing assistant in a vibrant, fast paced, design studio in SW London with the opportunity to use and develop your creative and administrative skills? Apply now!

The primary purpose of the role is to help plan and execute marketing campaigns that boost brand awareness and increase employee engagement. The role is incredibly varied and covers all areas of marketing and PR. Being able to think on your feet and work quickly and accurately across multiple activities, at all times, is a must!

  • Key responsibilities and deliverables

    Administrative support

    • Maintain marketing team planning documents on a weekly basis.

    • Update marketing team reports.

    • Manage calendar of WD marketing events.

    • Keep CRM up-to-date.

    • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for internal and external meetings.

    • Diary management of all marketing activities and meetings.

    • Responsible for taking notes and circulating action points during meetings.

    • Enter expenses using budget codes onto Deltek.

    • Keep marketing area neat and tidy and ensure material, stationery is stocked up.

    Press, website and social media

    • Manage magazine library and subscriptions.

    • Log all press coverage and add to website.

    • Distribute press coverage to the relevant WD teams.

    • Monitor the marketing Gmail inbox, going through all press alerts and recording any relevant press mentions.

    • Assist with press enquiries - putting together image selections and writing copy to answer questions.

    • Add news pieces and write copy for the website.

    • Monitor social media metrics and provide reports on campaign performance.

    • Assist in managing and updating social media profiles, including content scheduling and community engagement.

    Communications

    • Internal and external comms co-ordination.

    • Help prepare internal Newsletter via InDesign (WOW).

    • Monitor all inboxes for actionable replies.

    Events

    • Assist with charity event coordination.

    • Help organise and manage marketing events, such as MYS, open office events and client workshops.

    • Manage and coordinate travel for photography.

    • Assist with planning and preparation of WD events.

    Market research

    • Conduct research on industry trends, client updates, and competitor activities.

    • Compile and analyse data to support marketing strategy development.

    Merchandise and gifting

    • Source and order WD merchandise.

    • Send relevant WD merchandise to each external event.

    • Source and plan distribution of client gifts.

    Qualifications and work experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

    • Previous experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field is preferred. Internship experience is acceptable.

    • Experience within the creative marketing industry is desirable.

    Skills and traits

    • Advanced Windows skills are essential.

    • Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign is desirable.

    • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.

    • Impeccable organisational skills.

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Positive and enthusiastic approach: adaptable, flexible and resilient.

    • Be proactive and forward thinking with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

    • Ability to see multiple tasks through to conclusion.

    • Confident and outgoing with a sense of humour.

    Remuneration and benefits

    • Salary up to £28,000 available depending on level of experience

    • Hours 9:30am – 5:30pm – Monday to Friday

    • 24 days annual leave per annum

    • Lunch will be provided, four days per week

    Interviews will be a minimum of two stages, and a mix of Teams and in person at the studio in SW15.

Production Coordinator

SALARY: £28,000 - £30,000

Location: London/Hybrid

Magic Light Pictures exists to enrich the imaginations of children and families worldwide through high quality audiovisual experiences and brand products which will be cherished for years to come.

They’re looking for 2 Production Coordinators to join their ranks, one will work with their Pip and Posy team (this is a fixed term role to the end of the project), the other will work with their Specials team, which is a permanent role.

  • Both roles involve coordinating all aspects of production and post-production.

    The responsibilities include:

    Coordination

    • Collaborate with key production personnel to ensure creative and budgetary goals are met.

    • Maintain efficient communication and tracking of approvals and updates across the team.

    • Organize writer’s workshops, distribute scripts, and track their progress.

    • Manage budgets, log expenses, process payments, and draft crew contracts and agreements.

    • Assist with development work and attend creative sessions with directors and producers.

    • Coordinate creation of marketing materials, trailers, and promotional content.

    • Manage the storage, archiving, and retrieval of film assets.

    Contract and logistics management

    • Organize and track cast and crew contracts, ensuring timely signatures and proper filing.

    • Handle logistics for cast recording sessions, transport, accommodation, and studio bookings.

    Broadcast Partner Liaison

    • Maintain clear and updated episodic note documentation.

    • Track feedback and approvals from external partners. Casting and Voice Recording.

    • Schedule voice recordings, manage scripts, and track safeguarding protocols.

    • Coordinate casting sessions and ensure GDPR compliance.

    Studio Coordination

    • Track production notes, prop creation, and approvals.

    • Share materials with consultants and legal clearance teams as needed.

    • Distribute assets to relevant departments and coordinate voice recordings for social media content and liaise with editing studios for standalone song videos.

    • Act as studio liaison, oversee production progress, and maintain seamless transitions to post-production.

    • Handle production paperwork and maintain accurate records.

    Post-Production

    • Coordinate marketing materials and post-production paperwork, funding applications, and tax credit audits.

    • Manage music briefings, attend key sessions and create cue sheets.

    • Deliver materials to broadcasters and maintain records.

    • Oversee the technical and paper delivery of projects to broadcasters and distribution partners.

    This is an exciting and engaging role, ideal for candidates with some production experience, preferably within a small company environment. Magic Light Pictures are seeking highly organized individuals who can anticipate production needs and communicate effectively with people at all levels. Strong prioritization skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and excellent problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
