Mentoring that Matters: An Introduction to Creative Mentor Network

Are you aware that, in the UK, just 19% of people in creative jobs are from working class backgrounds?

Class barriers remain one of the most significant challenges in the UK’s creative industries, holding back talented individuals from reaching their full potential. At Creative Mentor Network, we’re working to change that.

We’re hosting a special Zoom session to introduce our charity, our work, what’s going on in the creative industries, and how we can collaborate in 2025. It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions and understand how our mentoring programmes can impact both your organisation and the wider industry.

What to Expect

  • Introduction to Creative Mentor Network: Learn who we are and how we’re making mentoring accessible for talented young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds in the creative industries.

  • Class Problems in Focus: An overview of the challenges faced by aspiring creatives from lower socioeconomic backgrounds and why addressing these issues is vital for the industry’s future.

  • Let’s Collaborate: Discover opportunities to partner with us on impactful mentoring programmes that drive real change.

  • Q&A: Ask any questions you might have!

WHO CAN ATTEND

This event is perfect for those in HR, and People teams, heads of Learning & Development, Talent, Corporate Social Responsibility, Culture and DEI teams. We also encourage department heads, directors and other members of seniors leadership in creative organisations to attend.

If you’re curious about the work we do, or you’re hearing about us for the first time, this event is a great opportunity to learn more about us, our mission, and how we might be aligned in working together to build a more equitable creative industry.
