Break the Wall is our longest running programme, supporting 16-25 year olds break into the creative industry.
Mentors on Break the Wall come from all across the creative industries, and it’s a great opportunity to connect and meet people across a range of disciplines.
Break the Wall is free for all mentees, runs for 16 weeks, and perfect for any stage of your career.
Who is this programme for?
Break the Wall is a free 16 week long mentorship programme for young creatives interested in getting into the creative industry or progressing their career.
This programme can help you learn more about the creative industry, what roles are available, build your professional network, expand your portfolio and develop key skills required to pursue a your career.
Who will my mentor be?
Break the Wall mentors come from all across the creative industry, so whether you’re interested in advertising, fashion, gaming, film or even interior design, this programme is the one for you.
All of our matches are bespoke, and you will be matched with a mentor who aligns with the skills and ambitions you are looking to develop.
They may not always have the exact same job you wish to apply to in the future, but they will have the knowledge, expertise and network to help support you over the course of the mentorship programme.

The Application Process

1. Apply online
Find a programme that’s right for you and apply online. If you’re unsure you can select “all programmes” and we will match you on the best fit.

2. Interview
If you meet our eligibility criteria, you’ll be invited to an interview where we will ask questions to help us match you with a mentor.

3. Induction
If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to a session to onboard you to the programme, set some goals, and give you all the information you need.

4. Meet Your Mentor
After your induction, you’ll meet your mentor at a mixer session. From then you’ll meet one another (in person or online) for an hour every fortnight.

5. Check In
You’ll have a dedicated Programme Manager who will be on hand if you have any questions and check in to see how your mentoring is going.

6. Showcase
At the end of the programme, you’ll be able to celebrate with the rest of your cohort at your Showcase where you have the chance to present your work and connect with other people on the programme.

To take part in Break the Wall you must:
✅ Aged between 16-25 years old when the programme begins
✅ Live in the UK
✅ Meet our eligibility criteria
✅ Are interested in working in the creative industry
programme dates
Break the Wall runs three times a year, beginning in January, March and September.
The programme runs for 16 weeks, with in person and hybrid elements.
Applications are open all year.
