We love to celebrate the talent within our mentee community and over Black History Month we want to call out some of the remarkable work from Black members of our community.

In the past, we’ve highlighted filmmakers and artists, running events to bring these communities together and celebrate these parts of our network.

For Black History Month this year, we want to celebrate Black creative business owners within our network.

All of the young people we work with want to work in the creative sector, but working in the creative sector doesn’t mean having a creative role. And for those who want to be creative, and run a business, means there’s often a balance between the two. Both require different skills and can sometimes feel at odds with one another.

We spoke with four of our alumni, all at different stages of their entrepreneurship journey. Explore their stories below, follow their businesses, and join us in celebrating all the incredible mentees within our community.
